Security Systems
Security Systems provides technology resources to Public Safety, consulting on upgrades and new equipment installations, while ensuring that existing systems remain online and operational. We work directly with outside contractors and University Technology Solutions to manage, maintain and improve UTSA's physical security infrastructure.
Our team supports and maintains applications, infrastructure and related systems, including:
- MDTs (mobile data terminals)
- Body cameras
- Law enforcement recordkeeping systems
- Video recording and backup systems
- Security cameras
- Emergency phones, panic alarms and intercoms
Our team also works closely with other UTSA departments, such as Campus Services, People Excellence, University Technology Solutions and the Office of Research Integrity, to create innovative data integration solutions that enhance the security of our campuses.
