UT San Antonio’s (Legacy UTSA) Compensation Philosophy is based on the commitment to attract and retain a highly motivated workforce that supports UT San Antonio’s bold vision for strategic growth and innovative excellence. Our compensation program is designed to be fair, transparent, and to evolve as roles, markets, and our institution changes.

Accordingly, we have the following objectives: 

  • Establish and maintain salary levels that promote internal pay alignment and are competitive with external labor markets 
  • Take a proactive approach in managing UT San Antonio’s pay plan through regular benchmarking 
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, as well as UT System rules and regulations 
  • Make compensation decisions that align with UT San Antonio’s budgetary and financial strategies 

Pay Structure
