Change of Major Request
Changing your major is a common and natural part of the academic journey as students gain more educational and practical experience. At Academic Advising, we are here to support you through this process by offering guidance, information, and technical assistance to help you make informed decisions about your major and degree.
It’s essential to actively explore and select a major that aligns with both your personal interests and career goals. Remember, there is often little direct correlation between undergraduate degrees and specific types of employment. A particular major does not guarantee a job in a specific field, nor does it restrict your career options to that field.
To begin your major search, we encourage you to explore the resources available through UTSA’s University Career Center. The "What Can I Do With That Major" page provides valuable insights into various career paths.
You can use the ‘What-if’ feature in Degree Works to see how your completed credits might apply toward a new major.
For a list of available majors, please review the UTSA Undergraduate Catalog.
