Coordinated Admissions Program (CAP)
The Coordinated Admission Program (CAP) is an enrollment pathway offered to Texas resident high school graduates applying for freshman admission to the University of Texas at Austin. You’ll begin your studies at another UT System university for your freshman year, then upon successful completion of the CAP requirements, you are guaranteed transfer admission to UT Austin’s College of Liberal Arts. Keep in mind that specific majors are not guaranteed, but you are allowed to compete for admission to majors in colleges outside of Liberal Arts, with the exception of the School of Architecture.

CAP Program Requirements
- Complete a minimum of 30 semester credit hours at UTSA
- Only take courses from the approved CAP Course list
- Complete one math course other than College Algebra (MAT 1073)
- Earn cumulative 3.2+ GPA
- Must earn C- or better in all courses to count for CAP hours
- Submit final official transcript to UT Austin by June 1st (UTSA will send transcript to UT Austin on your behalf)
- Dual credit transcripts must be sent to UT Austin by the CAP student
- Must start classes during summer

Student Success Coaching
Incoming students may need to enroll in higher-level prerequisite courses for math or chemistry during their first few semesters at UTSA. One way to place into these courses is by taking an ALEKS Placement assessment (Assessment and LEarning in Knowledge Spaces)
Tutoring
Personalized one-on-one, group, or online sessions to help students improve their understanding of course material and enhance their study skills
ALEKS Placement
A free service that academicallly supports students by supporting the whole student. Success Coaches work one-on-one with students to learn their goals, uderstanding their obstacles, and light their waay toward academic and personal growth for richer, more fulfilling college experience
