People Excellence Provides Wellbeing Resources

April 23, 2026

The following email was sent to all faculty and staff on April 22, 2026, from Katy Madden, vice president of People Excellence.

As we look ahead to the excitement of commencement and year-end milestones, we also acknowledge that this time of year can bring additional demands and stress. With next month recognized nationally as Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to take a moment to highlight the many wellbeing resources available to support you, our Roadrunner faculty and staff.

Wellbeing Support

The AllOne Health Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers free, confidential resources for benefits-eligible academic campus employees, as well as household members and dependents. Services include mental health counseling, financial consultations, legal guidance, personal life resources and more. Whether you are navigating personal challenges, workplace stress or long-term planning, the EAP is available to help.

Benefits-eligible employees enrolled in UT SELECT can also access mental health care through services such as MDLIVE and Headway, both of which offer convenient virtual appointments with no copay.

Crisis and On-Campus Support

If you or someone you know is in immediate distress, dial 988 to reach the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, which provides 24/7 confidential support.

Currently, the university offers free, confidential on-campus counseling sessions for faculty and staff in partnership with AllOne Health:

  • Downtown Campus: Tuesdays from 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
  • Main Campus: Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m.–3 p.m.

These sessions provide an opportunity to connect with a licensed counselor in a convenient campus setting.

Student Resources

For students, counseling and other mental health and wellbeing resources are available from Wellbeing Services. If you are aware of a student in need of assistance, please ensure they are aware of these resources.

Stay Connected

As we head into a season filled with celebrations, deadlines and transitions, we encourage you to take time to care for your wellbeing and to check in with colleagues. Small, intentional moments of connection and reflection can make a meaningful difference.

To stay connected and informed, join the Wellness Teams channel for updates on academic campus wellness resources and events, including the upcoming YMCA Mental Health Chat: Managing Stress and Burnout.

The health and wellbeing of our faculty and staff is at the heart of all we do, and People Excellence is committed to providing readily available resources that enhance mental health, work-life balance and overall wellness.

Thank you for the work you do each day to support our students and each other.
