Peanut Butter Parking Campaign Wraps Up with Strong Support for Roadrunners
Campus Services is proud to announce the successful conclusion of this year’s Peanut Butter Parking Campaign. Thanks to the generosity of Roadrunners across both campuses, more than 1,500 jars of peanut butter and other nut-butter alternatives were collected — enough to provide well over 21,000 individual servings to students in need.
The annual campaign gave Roadrunners a unique way to pay eligible parking citations with peanut butter, turning everyday infractions into an opportunity to give back to the community. Over 450 parking citations were paid with donations, and dozens of Roadrunners contributed even without a citation.
“All of these donations go directly to the Roadrunner Pantry, where they help ensure our students in need have the food and support they need to thrive,” said Carrie Charley, associate vice president for Campus Services. “It’s inspiring to see the Roadrunner community come together each year to turn a parking citation into a meaningful act of generosity that helps their fellow Roadrunners.”
All donations are now being delivered to the Roadrunner Pantry, the university’s on-campus food pantry. These contributions will help stock shelves for the busy fall semester, ensuring that students facing food insecurity have access to nutritious food and essential supplies so they can focus on their academic success and wellbeing.
Campus Services thanks everyone who participated for making this year’s campaign a success and for showing how small acts of giving can make a big difference for the Roadrunner community.
