Programs & Resources

UTSA Wellness provides faculty and staff with learning opportunities, activities, programs and other resources to empower and encourage UTSA faculty and staff to make choices and changes that lead to a balanced, healthy lifestyle.

What We Offer

Walking Trails

Walking trails are available on the Main and Downtown Campuses to promote physical activity and wellbeing. Trails were developed for faculty, staff, students and alumni, as well as the general public.

Wellness Champion Program

This program allows faculty and staff to serve as liaisons between Wellness and university departments to create a culture of health by promoting awareness and involvement in wellness programs services and events.

Leave for Wellness Incentive

Benefits-eligible employees can apply for one of the three different incentives in the Handbook of Operating Procedures, 4.20 Section T. policy. Check out the details in the  Wellness Incentive Factsheet.

Quarterly Wellness Assessments

Faculty and staff can track their fitness goals through a wellness assessment. UTSA Wellness Program members will receive an email reminder every three months to schedule their assessments or come to our walk-in hours.

Workshops and Webinars

Topics include financial wellness, fitness, nutrition and healthy lifestyles.

Ergonomics Program

The Ergonomics Program strives to provide an efficient and safe work environment for all UTSA employees by offering online self-evaluations, in-person assessments, ergonomics education and injury prevention programs.

Lactation Resources

UTSA has been designated as a Texas Mother-Friendly Worksite by the Texas Department of State Health Services. There are several locations on campus designated for parents to have a private space to feed their young children on campus. Visit the lactation resources webpage to learn more.
