UTSA partners with The Work Number, an external agency, to provide verification of employment, income and immigration.

The Work Number is an automated service that securely provides instant employment and income verifications. It can be used when applying for a loan, buying a car, leasing an apartment, qualifying for public assistance, requesting immigration verification or similar instances where proof of employment or income is needed. The Work Number streamlines the transfer of information between employers, verifiers and government agencies. This accelerates the decision process without compromising your data privacy. Access The Work Number

Authorized agencies and university employees can access The Work Number. Explore the access types below to learn more.

The Work Number is a fast and secure way to provide proof of employment or income, a necessary step in many of today’s life events involving credit, financing, or securing of benefits or services.  

When an employee applies for credit or other services, and proof of employment or income is required, the authorized agency can get this information from The Work Number. 

Authorized Agency Access: 

  • Visit The Work Number or call 1-800-367-5690 (1-800-424-0253 for TTY if hearing impaired).
  • The UTSA Employer Code: 13944 
  • Employee's social security number

Salary, employment and immigration verification can be requested after completing the initial login process.
